‘’’[ Solved - It was the screen ] ’’’ My Sister handed down her fully working iPhone 6s to my Mum. Just needed a battery replacement. It has been factory reset. I have done a couple of ipads and a few 5c so the task wasn’t a issue. Do the volume up/down buttons work on the “Hello” freshly factory reset screen? Home button and vol keys do not work. Power and ringer swtich do. edit: Vol keys are working. No visible damage.
IIRC, the volume buttons don’t have any effect on the “Hello " screen.
Hey, have you tested a hard restart? homebutton and power button at the same time. You will see if it takes long time for it to show the apple logo if so the homebutton feels okey if it only starts its probebly the cable/contact. On 6s the cable between the homebutton and the upper contact goes in the screen, can you photo the flex cable and connector of the screen?
