Chosen Solution
Hello guys. I have noticed something, and was wondering if this is a bug anyone else is seeing. After disconnecting the battery on the iPhone 4s, the information bar is saying “searching” all the time, even when the SIM card is not in the phone. I have worked on many devices and never seen this problem until IOS6 showed up! After a restore the phone will go from searching to recognizing the SIM, so this seems to fix the problem. However, is there a way to solve this error without having to restore? Like a software fix? Thank you. Jon
Set the date/time manually to the correct values and then restart the phone. Worked for me :)
Well, found a solution to this problem. After changing three screens on iPhone 4S with iOS6. All three with this problem. The solution I found: Insert the sim before you turn on the phone. Then connect the iPhone to the WiFi. Take the sim card out, and put if back in ;) Hopefully this will resolve the problem.
