Previously I used a Nokia RM-1035. An analogue phone. The sim I used was a micro sim in a Macro slot. It did support the phone without an extra adapter. Recently due to issues i changed the phone keeping the same Sim Card. A Nokia RM-1172 model. Here when i inserted the Micro Sim in the “Macro” card slot…the phone shows “NO SIM CARD”. So i used a Sim Adapter. But the result is the same “NO SIM CARD”. I tested the sim on other smart phones…its a NO SIM CARD". The problem comes here» When i inserted the Sim in the Initial phone..the sim card is supported. So what should i do to make the other phone support the Sim too?
I would go to your service provider and ask for a new sim. They will give you a new sim, and probably the proper macro sim free of charge as it costs them nothing to do so. It sounds like that sim might be locked to that phone, although I dont think thats possible, unless the phones are for different providers. The other thing is if, for example, you have a verizon sim card and you are trying to use it in a Sprint locked phone, it wont work because they are different providers and thats just the way it is. But like I said, go to your Cell provider and see if they can give you a new one.
