iPhone X; dropped it in saltwater and now the screen can work, but is totally unresponsive to touch (problem with logic board; microsoldering services seem to run north of 200$). I just want data recovered; is there any way I can unlock the phone without touching it so I can back it up to iTunes on computer? Needs to enter pin + trust computer.
Unfortunately not. You will need to have touch functionality on your screen. I gather the phone has been opened up and the battery has been disconnected. If the repair shop didn’t treat it for water I would. · Remove the logic board and soak and lightly brush in Isopropyl Alcohol. · Allow to dry. · Write your passcode and put it with the phone in a draw until you decide to recover data.
