Chosen Solution
Hey everyone! Unfortunately, I’ve managed to drop my macbook and now there is a dent on the back of the screen. The display is fully functioning, it just really hurts every time I look at it. Do you have any idea how to fix this without changing the whole display? I don’t want to do it DIY but is there any chance it can be fixed like car dents? Pic:
I’ve worked really hard to finally buy it and now I feel terrible, I’m looking for a “budget-friendly” solution, but every answer is appreciated. Thank you in advance
The problem with aluminum dents is they’re just there forever, especially on Retina models with how the assembly is built :(. Even when you can fix it, it’s still going to always be there. You can sometimes remove the LCD from a non-Retina to improve the situation (albeit with some difficulty) but not on these - the bare LCD is bonded to the glass and the layers are in the aluminum shell. Sad to say you’re buying a display or living with it.
As a low budget solution you can get an external case/cover or a sticker to cover it up! Check here for ideas.
you can try with a bubble car puller!
