Chosen Solution
I currently have a p7500 2.26 GHz in my iMac. I was wondering if there was any compatibles. I’m looking to upgrade the CPU to possible max performance. I’ve looked online and it says supposedly that my CPU is socketed so I should be able too upgrade it. I’m just not sure if Apple has locked the firmware to my specific CPU or only the CPU’s that they used in their mac models
Sadly, your system is limited to Core 2 Duo CPU’s and ones that only use 25 TDP.
