Dear all, I have a iPhone 6 with keeping search fault and I have found that there is one capacitor missed on the ASM chip ASM chip I think I need to replace it for the new one but this chip looks different from any other chips as you can see because there are one IC and eight capacitors on this chip. There could be damaged by soldering or a hot air gun. Does anyone have experience to fix it? Please let me have any tips to replace this chip. many thanks,
I’ve never tried fixing this IC before so I couldn’t say if it was easy or not. The main difficulty is knowing the exact value of the capacitor. It’s far easier to replace the IC, either via a donor board or ordering one online.
