TP-Link Archer TX50E I’ve had this wifi card for some time and I seemingly never had issues with it up until recently I noticed that one of my antennas was very very wobbly. I thought it may be an issue with the antenna itself and that I just need to screw it in properly, but after thorough investigation, I have found out that it was the actual socket and that it somehow wasn’t as secure in its place as the other golden socket. I don’t know much of when or how did this happen, but I know that it’s been a reoccurring issue and that I need to properly secure it, just that I don’t know how to. Any help?
Ok, found it. Looks to me like press fit. Since it is working, I would try crimping it in a small vise or vise-grips. Preferably a vise if you can get at it so you have precise control over it and don’t cause any damage. If the board IS cracked and I’m not seeing things that aren’t there, I’d put a bit of liquid epoxy over it to keep it from breaking traces and reinforce the area since it is getting pried about whenever you mess with the antenna. Let me know if this works for you, if not, someone else may have a better idea for you. I don’t think replacing it would be too easy too much thermal load in the puppy. I’d probably try holding it on with epoxy putty instead
