For Vtech LS 6245 you cannot delete all new messages, but can delete all old messages. So the fastest way to delete all messages that are new is to

  1. Listen to messages
  2. Skip them all with the forward button, this can be done faster than deleting each individual one
  3. Go in to the answering machine menu and delete all old messages, it will now delete all the messages you just skipped :) Y K

I do NOT have a so-called Delete button on my Uniden that I inherited with this apartment. I am so frustrated at having 32 old messages - and no telephone customer support service available from the manufacturer - that I am about ready to open my back door and pitch it into the woods! Update (07/28/2020) And my GOD! that worked! When I typed that in, I was able to actually find a reference guide online …. you hit the button on the bottom of the base that looks like an arrow … when the message plays back, you hit the zero with the line through it. Altho the sound was a piercing electronic squelch that probably disturbed the animals, it did go fairly quickly! PROBLEM SOLVED! Ok, not tossing the phone out the door ;)
