Hi could someone advise on the PSU spec i.e. volts/amps and type of DC plug, Reason I ask Im from the UK and have an Echo coming from the US and need to sort out a compatable PSU with UK 3 pin Plug TIA Mark
Hi I’m from UK and using an echo over here. If you haven’t already got things sorted the adapter that comes with the echo is rated at 120 - 240V so a simple 2 - 3 pin adapter is all you need. Have fun with your echo!! Phill
Hi Mark, The power adapter takes 120 - 240 volts at 0.6 amps 50 or 60 Hz as an input, and delivers 15 volts at 1.4 amps as an output. If you want to buy a power adapter without plug adapter, you may be out of luck. There are third party power adapters for the Echo that I’ve found, but they all have US plugs. I couldn’t find anything about the Echo’s actual plug specification, so your best bet would be to buy an adapter that provides the right voltage and amperage and solder in the plug from the original adapter. Hi thanks for the answer but I didn’t want the to use the original supplied psu as the height when connected to a 3 pin adaptor would of been to high fo r where I wanted to site the echo hence why I wanted to purchase a stand alone psu, Thanks for the reply though your info may be useful to someone else thinking of purchasing an echo outside the UK Cheers Mark

hello … I need power supply board for my Echo.. not the charger, it’s electronic board inside Echo device please any body help..
I had the same issue - received my Echo with a US 2-pin USB plug/converter…. It all got very messy trying to plug into travel power plugs and 2-pin to UK 3-pin power adapters… Happily I found an old Apple UK iPhone USB plug in my desk drawer, connected the USB lead and the Echo works a treat !
im no expert with plugs but i bought a u.s plug 3rd gen echo dot aswell , i bought a all in one unversal u.s aus , eu travel adaptor ive seen the same adaptors on ebay for 99p mine works just fine just make sure the 2 prongs that go in the adaptor are not upside down . to ensure this the writting on the adapter is the same way up as the writting as the amazon u.s plug (my u.s plug sits lower than adaptor but works fine) its at your own risk of course ., or you can buy the uk lead on amazon uk for 14 pound ,. but my 99p adaptor works fine with the u.s plug like i said good luck hope this cures most peoples problem it worked for me
