Since updating to Android 8.0 (Oreo) All the Sensors Not Working, I Know the sensors not working from test #0# and Test Hardware by Samsung Members, I got some Information problem from Samsung Members Hardware Test Result;

  • Accelerometer
  • Barometer
  • Light Sensor
  • Gyroscope
  • Magnetic Sensor and I think Proximity not working too cos if i making or receive call phone display won’t turn off or black screen. Trying to factory reset, Wipe Data & Cache nothing change, and i got Error like this; #fail to open recovery_cause(No such file or directory)# Reboot Recovery Cause is [UNKNOWN]# File-Based OTA Supported API: 3 MANUAL MODE V1.0.0# Successfully verified dmverify hash tree E:Failed to clear BCB message: failed to find misc partition This happened after Updating OTA to android 8.0, I Have tried to Flash Manualy, and Downgrade to Nougat, but problem still note fixed, Someone may know how? Notes:
  • Before updating nothing else, all working perfectly, Proximity, Gyro, etc.
  • Sometimes IRIS Sensor crash.

This issues has been fixed by Samsung Service Center, today i send my phone to SSC and their said it’s 100% Hardware fault, cos my phone still warranty Samsung has replace my Board with new one and fixed the problem and no charge, it’s free. hope this can solve you too.

Same problem for me bought my done in Australia 10 maths ago still has long warranty I am in Europe now they say it’s not covered here what sort of Nicky mouse company is Samsung has anybody had any results

After Gear Vr attempt, all sensors came back to life! But stopped again after one week. Now they are not working, in the sensors test page using the code they are not working, gyro and acelerometer, but in the Gear Vr they work… software problem!!! Samsung please search the problem in the code for us, im already looking for iphones, but I like the s8+ if it works…

Its a software problem because it only happens to the exynos version none of the snapdragon versions got this issue and samsung knows this

My phone has same problem too… but i send to SSC n waiting for repairing.

How to sue stupid samsung? They think people have unlimited money to buy phone for every day?

How do I fix it if I brought the $@$* phone second hand and no warranty. I think I should have stuck with Apple iPhone never had a problem with their phones and I have been using them for over 4 years. Don’t listen to everyone that’s says samsung galaxy s8 are better because they &&^&^$^ suck arse

My phone has the same problem restart and too hot. I tried every thing but I can’t solve it. I don’t know what I gonna do. Is there anyone can solve this problem?
