Hi all, I have an iPhone 7 on which all three microphones have suddenly stopped working. I checked by making a video with the rear facing camera, the back facing camera and by trying to make a voice memo (not even possible, red button is greyed out). In addition to this, I do not hear anything when calling and the other party does not hear me either (but they do receive my phone calls). Lastly, when I insert my headphones sound continues over the speaker and not through the headphones. Important to note is that the phone charges fine. I tried a factory reset which did not work. I replaced my lightning-to-mini-jack adapter, which also did not work. I hope someone will be able to help me because I have no idea what this problem might be! Thanks!
It definitely seems an audio IC problem, nothing you can do on your own to fix that. You’ll need to find a reputed lab that can perform component level diagnostics and microsoldering to replace faulty components.
