When my phone screen isn’t pressed into place and screwed down, it’s fine. But as soon as I press it in and screw it in at the two bottom screws, almost straight away an orange stress mark appears at the bottom, in the same place every time. I’ve tried removing every single piece of adhesive on the screen. Could it be because I’m not using my screen adhesive to put the screen back in place, and I’m only just pressing it in without the glue?
Hi @charliewhile How does your battery look? iPhone batteries can fail in a way that causes them to swell, sometimes only on the bottom part. As a general rule, if you see these “orange” stress marks on the LCD, there is something pushing the screen back off the frame from the inside. Check the frame directly below the stress marks for anything that might be in the way and remove it.
