Hi, I dissassembled my printer twice after cleaning the printheads as initially it didn’t turn on afterwards. After swopping one of the tabs around I reassembled it and it turned on. It began to clean and after a minute or so the light went off and now it won’t turn on and emits a quiet beeping. What have I done wrong? I found the replacing of the tabs very difficult to see in which direction they should be inserted. Could I have put one back the wrong way round?
Concur.
After flushing the printhead with water / isopropyl
also leaving ink cartridges with water / isopropyl in the printhead overnight, also with a paper towel under the printhead & above the cleaning station to absorb any water / isopropyl. The next day I powered up, red ink light on & green power button either continuous or flashing, uncertainForgot the paper towel was under the printheadforgot to screw the printhead down to the tray with the 3 screwsthe printhead cartridge terminal block was also loose as I broke off the tabs that lock it downthe yellow cartridge was off & slightly above the terminal blockthen after no response with the red ink light on / green power lightI powered off & powered up again to a no power condition with the beeping noise. Tech:
reviews indicate problem hypothesis “Waste Ink Tank Counter” or “WIC Reset”. I concur reason the Water / Isopropyl I drilled in to some Ink Cartridges & left overnight could have somehow tripped the “Waste Ink Tank Counter”.
I downloaded various “WIC Reset Utilities” & with the 1400 USB port plugged in & powered up beeping, none of the WIC Reset utilites would recognize a printer on the USB Port.I confirmed the 1400 USB Port is not tripping the Windows 7 Device Manager with any hardware changes. This indicates that the Logicboard is not sending any communications to the Windows7 USB Port.If the Logicboard will not power up the USB Port, then there is a Hardware failure / lockout. Tech A.
next to teardown 1400 & attempt to diagnose the fuse, Waste Ink Tank & Power Supply.
The head print does not work, it is burned. Change it. Also change the burnt transistors in the main board. That’s works for me in the Epson 1410.
have you tried checking all the cartridges are pushed home also hold down the cancel button for 30 seconds then restart Update also the cartridge/tabs should be furthest away from you as you stand in front of the printer
It is the obsolescence scheduled of Epson. She destroys an element of the card - mother and your printer does not work anymore. I had the same problem with five machines. I changed the card - mother, but it is again destroyed after working a few minutes. The one who has the solution is blessed of all the victims of Epson.
Hi I’m glad to contribute to this forum with the solution for the problem when you change the printhead or you flush the printhead all of the sun in the printer won’t start won’t turn on what I found was that the two transistors on the hissing of the logic board fail I still haven’t figured out why does the printhead shorts these two transistors but once you replace the transistors the printer toner design and gives no problems. Well no problems but it still won’t print because I still haven’t replaced the printhead I am trying to figure out why is it that the printhead is shorting out on the board because if not it will not work and it will short the board it again I tried it twice and every time is short the transistors so I hope this help you at least you’ll get to turn on the printer again still waiting to figure out how to fix the problem with the printhead I am going to try with a brand new printhead see if it does the same thing Dario Ortiz Oss..!!
I fix many board of epson l series, in order for them to work again, you need to replace the 2 transistors and also the power ic, or else it will continue to burn your transistors, the power ic is the one causing the problem to short the transistors. I hope it helps
I’m using EPSON L1800 and my story is no different from what has already been told on this forum. This morning it won’t print one of the colors, I did a head clean still won’t print the one color, so I removed the head and did a manual cleaning with a printhead cleaning solution, I put it back in the printer and it started to self clean again, oh, well I thought, I will let it do its thing, then all of a sudden, both the Paper light and the ink light started to blink simultaneously, both lights stayed on for a while so I thought, I restarted the printer, and now, the power light won’t turn on and there’s a beeping sound coming out of the printer.
Hello, someone has found which transistors need to be changed and what else to change to get the printer back on? There must be thousands of people involved, what pollution this planned obsolescence! Thank you to the one who will help us.
