so i just did a IPA cleaning of my LCD for my 5s for water spots. does anyone know what kind of adhesive is used on the back of he LCD? its the part that covers up the backlight on the LCD, i noticed a lot of light escaping from the back making the display quality very dim, so i need to seal the back of LCD with some adhesive……any help would be Haagen Daaz Update (07/16/2017) i still need to reglue to black reflective backing onto the lcd, what type of glue?
You sure liquids didn’t just get inside the backlight layer? If that has happen then it’s game over either replace the screen or the backlight behind the screen (requires soldering). Personally I would not even bother replacing the backlight and just replace the screen since it’s been affected by liquid damage and easy to get dust in when trying to change backlight.
