Hi Im working on a water damaged iPhone 6 logic board and accidentally removed a small capacitor below the back camera connector, will this still be possible to fix?
R2495 is a resistor, not a capacitor. While you can usually get away with not replacing a capacitor, the same can not be said for resistors. In this case, this resistor is acting as a pull-down resistor, insuring that the line it is connected to is tied to ground. The value of the resistor controls how much current is allowed to flow. This particular resistor is on the OIC_LEFT_NET line. I don’t know what this does exactly but if the engineers put it there, there’s probably a good reason for it. Check out this link on GSM Forums where it’s brought up, including links to Apple Patents if you’re inclined to research this more.
