Chosen Solution
I am a first-time repairer, I was replacing the Joy-con on my Switch using the tools I’d received in the Joy-con repair kit, and i accidentally popped off the battery connector. I am trying not to panic here, but I have no soldering tools. I presume superglue would be too risky a solution?
no you should solder the connector in place cause the pins contact to the logic board will be bad. Any electronic repair shop can do it for cheap.
