Hey everyone, I’ve had these horizontal lines on the left and right sides of my screen. There are also vertical lines near my camera at the top. Is this due to the screen coating coming off? Or is this caused by an internal problem?
The anti-reflective coatings have failed. Apple has an extended warranty program to replace the cover glass. You’ll need to get to an Apple Store ASAP as the repair program is ending sometime this year!
Not sure if the program is still alive. Happened to my MBPR 13” about 3 years ago. They replaced the display, no charge. Started again a year ago, SOL. They wanted to charge me about $300 for a new display. Shame on Apple for this poor quality issue. These things aren’t cheap.
