I have an early 2015 macbook and it was working fine, but now will not turn on. It does nothing when I hit the power button. It does react when I do the SMC reset, but nothing happens after that either. Also, the mouse clicks when I press it, but nothing else is happening. The battery seems to be charging and when I plug the charger in it changes colors. Anyone have any ideas where I can start?

Disconnect bothe the battery and mag-safe. Press and hold the power button for ten seconds. Pul it back in and if the logic board is good, it should boot spontaneously. UPDATE ZAP the PRAM. Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold these four keys together: Option, Command, P, and R. You can release the keys after about 20 seconds, during which your Mac might appear to restart. On Mac computers that play a startup sound, you can release the keys after the second startup sound.Next hook up an external monitor and see if you get anything.

Take the back of the computer off and see if the fans run when you press the power button. Connect the computer to an external display if the fans are running and tell me if you see anything. Also, does the caps lock key light up when you press it? Update (11/13/2018) Nevermind the fan part. Try the external display and caps lock suggestions though.
