When replacing the battery in my A1398 the trackpad cover plate was bent. I can’t find where to purchase the part to replace it. Help. MacBook Pro 15” - Mid 2014
That is a very difficult part to find, I know from experience. Finally had one come up on eBay after three weeks. You might do better trying to repair the one you have. It is a necessary part to make the trackpad work properly.
It is a necessary part to make the trackpad work properly. Besides helping seal the trackpad cavity, protecting other internals from water damage for instance, I don’t see what other purpose it serves..? Hope to hear back Regards
