I just got a used 24" LED Cinema Display. Everything works except for the LED backlight. By everything, I mean the sound, USB, camera, the LCD display… I can shine a flashlight on the screen and see the display working, but there’s no backlight. i’ve checked and re-seated all cables, and I can’t find anything fishy other than this VR. it seems to be a little brown around the solders, and the plastic protector on the back of the logic board has melted a bit directly beneath it. the regulator is the center one.
i’ve run through the apple troubleshooting flowchart, but i don’t know where TP81 (test point) is. thanks in advance
