Hi, I have no display at all on my daughters iPhone 7. I have put a multimeter on the pins on the FPC connector for the display and 7 or 8 are beeping in continuity mode. Now I’m trying to learn electronics at the moment and I’m pretty sure there should be no beeping when I put the multimeter on the connector pins. I cannot read schematics yet but I did have a look and it’s part J4502 and assuming I’m reading the numbers of the pins the right way up I’m pretty sure it’s pins-1,5,7,13,15 and 17 on one side and just pin number 20 (LCM TO MANY BSYNC CONN) on the other side. I have no idea where to head next to repair this phone, could anybody please point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance and on a personal note to you all out there, please be safe from this Corona. I live on the Isle of Man in the UK, we have a population of 82000 and 144 confirmed cases. Stay safe everybody, good luck.

You will need to rule out parts first like replacing the screen and a little more info on the phone would be handy. ·         How did the phone become like this? ·         Is this an image problem or backlight? Shine a torch on the screen and see if you can see an image. ·         Is the phone recognised by iTunes? It is highly unlikely that all the pins you mentioned would be shorted. You might be using your multimeter wrong. Have you got your red probe on ground? I have seen a lot of open lines on the LCD connector but have never come across your testing results.
