TV still works, but exactly one quarter of screen is faded. When display is light (daylight scene) it is hardly noticeable, but scenes with darker colors show whole left quarter section of screen several shades lighter. I checked connections and switched over T-CON cables, but no difference. Any ideas? Thx.
@coach14 check all your flat ribbon cables and make sure that they are seated right. It is possible that this is a main board issue but can also be caused by the LCD driver board. That is the board that is actually part of the LCD panel. Follow the cables from the T-Con board and see where they terminate. That is the driver board. That board connects to the panel via very thin ribbon cables and is connected via a special bonding technique. Put some pressure on the ribbon that connects to the area that is giving you trouble see if that is changing anything. Each part of the panel actually has a gate/source driver (IC) on the driver board. If there are issues with those drivers, errors like the one on your panel, could manifest itself like that.
