2 months ago I noticed that only when I play Warframe the fan started to spin quickly causing very loud noise ( only with this game !!) and I thought that it may be a dust problem, so I unplugged my console and I decided to open it and cleaned the fan using a household vacuum cleaner. Unexpectedly, after turning on my ps4 it started to overheat (hot when touching) and the fan spin loudly when playing all advanced graphics games like Uncharted, Tomb raider, Horizon … where this did not happen before the cleaning process and it was very quiet. Any explanations for this ? did the vacuum damage my ps4 ? or did it result in more dust trapping between heatsink and the fan ?
most of the times people just clean it by putting the vacuum cleaner on top of the fan en expect it to be clean. but you also have to clear the dust between the fan en heatsink.
when you vacuum by only putting on top of the fan you wont get the dust at the heatsink but they will move because of the vacuum. when the dust moves they will blok the airway of the heatsink and fan. when that happens you will get the overheating warning and get really fast hot
