Chosen Solution

Ok I got this phone from someone cause they said it was useless to them since they had the touch ic problem. When I recivied it I placed a folded piece of electric tape under the metal plate that covers the cables and connector. it worked for a month then I drop the phone once and the problem came back but when I went and open the phone and removed the cables and tried putting back in the same way before it didn’t boot and still won’t boot it’s been a week. Have I damaged something?

Adding anything to “apply pressure” is not a solution and possibly made things worse. The reason the iPhone 6 Plus has this issue is due to poor design and flexing of the board right around the Touch IC’s. When you flex the board with tape or any other material, you are just compounding the problem. You can read more about this here. The only real fix is to have the Meson IC reballed and the M1 jumper solidified with a micro-jumper. This may also solve the no boot issue as well, otherwise, some additional troubleshooting will be required.
