I recently purchased a 2015 iMac already disassembled with a cracked screen. I purchased a replacement screen that came with the display power cable and temperature sensor. I did notice the display data cable below the FaceTime camera was empty. I also noticed the port on the motherboard was also empty. When testing out the screen without taping, I connected the display power cable and attempted to power up, Nothing! I just need to verify that this cable is required and is in fact the missing link. The screen is the LM270QQ1 (SD)(B1), EMC 2834.
