Hi I am getting 4sns 1 c0000008 tl0p 124 hard test error. The CPU usage over 400% Update (08/24/2016) I have changed the hard drive and bought owc cable + sensor as u adviced Update (08/24/2016) ok thanks a lot Mayer jan ( SSD upgrade and kernel_task )

The problem was with the LCD sensor, no hdd sensor need for kernel_task problem. The HDD sensor is only for fans.

Is the fan running fast and making very loud. If so, you make to reorient a wire. It is either a heat senser or fan sensor wire.I don’t remember the exact name. It has white dot on the conector. You need to turn it 180* from how it was before installed your new hard drive. Infix it has a very good guide that explains it.

There is a sensor cable on some iMac models that must be attached to the replacement HDD for the fans to operate normally. I do not recall if the particular models include your mid-2010 iMac but the symptom you describe would be consistent with this requirement. If you did not buy it from OWC / MacSales or other well-known Apple supporter, it is unlikely to have the required hardware. Check with OWC to determine the correct replacement you require. It’s an issue in your lower slot

Has anybody solved this mysterie ?? I have the same behaviour: 4sns 1 c0000008 tl0p 124 And a kernel tast taking 300% CPU load
