I’ve been having the 3 beep ram problem and upon further inspection have noticed a damaged component? Would this effect it? located on right side near the screwhole and looks green when opened almost looked like it HD toothpaste on it Update (01/17/2019)
That clearly looks like oxide from a past liquid damage. Unfortunately liquid damage can easily spread to a number of components and circuits and often times is a nightmare even for a skilled technician. You may try sitting the board in >90 % isopropyl alcohol for a while and try to brush away oxide, but I wouldn’t be surprised there would be some dirt even under chips where you can’t reach without ultrasonic. After cleaning a thorough circuits testing would be needed.
