Serial number D25t206ygq17 EMC 2834 These repairs are not just simple “ow do this” step by step, i have a lot of questions. A- DO i have the right model selected? The computer is dead so i can’t verify what i have exactly. B- Will a standard desktop hard drive work, i have a 3tb i just took out of my DROBO i want to use. Never opened up a modern IMAC before. C- Do i need a new “thermal sensor” kit, is there an OS i can update to that doesn’t require the thermal sensor? Lots of conflicting/confusing info. D- After i install the new hard drive do i boot into safe mode to format it? E-Can i then boot into tether mode and install the OS from my other mac?
