Simple battery replacement/update,… Battery installed fine, charges when AC power connected,…got up to 100% charge But then,….

Issue: As soon as AC is removed, laptop “dies/shuts off” Reinstalled previous battery = no issues Double checked that I have the right model number = battery model number is same on both old” and “new” battery

—-> Any ideas what is going on? Perhaps a defective replacement battery?

You can try downloading Coconut battery and check if you can get any additional information on battery status but I’d agree with you, probably a faulty replacement, not so unusual with third party batteries.
