I have a late 2011 17” MacBook Pro No working power on or off with power button, when I try to fix the battery connector pins so I push power button it will not turn on or off only turn on when charger is plugged in and battery plugged in.
On the side is a battery checker when you press the button how many Green LED’s are lit and are they steady or blinking?

Place the system on its side open enough so you can see the screen when you quickly short the pads. Did the fan spin and did the screen light up?
