This Katana gsx750f had A suspicious regulator, unaware that it was in the alternator I installed the new one using a similar plug that is apart of the harness , it looks just like the original regulator wire , but has two wires in its clip , while the original is orange and single . Unknowningly, I started the bike with both regulators and the battery terminals received some heat and sparked back , However ,the main fuse did not blow and all switches have sufficient voltage readings , including sensors , ; The batteries are fine , and the ignition checks out , Items replaced just in case ; starter relay , ignition coils , computer , fuel pump /blinker relay , new carbs , , im stumped , so any help is greatly appreciated ,
What works what doesn’t ? Batteries may read fine with a multi meter but test them with a load tester to see if it has the necessary power to run the system. Im familar with the katana 600 it only has one battery is there two on the 750 ? does the bike run if not do you have spark and fuel . If you have both do you have proper timing ? Does the bike bark at all when trying to start or just wind over . You mentioned new carbs . were they installed before the regulator incident and are they they computer regulated carbs with the MAF sensor in the intake ?. Like to help if I had a little more info
