I have purchased a 2001 Camry LE with a 2.2 L engine with 198000 miles on the clock for daily travel around town. What are some of the main areas of concern for maintenance? Thank,
Hi @cd15 , Check for any leaks, i.e. oil leaks from engine, brake fluid from brake slave cylinders and master cylinder, transmission fluid, coolant etc. Also if any smoke ,blue or white, emanating from exhaust - check oil levels in engine to see if using excess oil while normal running and if coolant levels stay normal Brakes - check brakes have sufficient life left in disc pads and that discs are not worn down. If the rear brakes are drum brakes check the brake shoes for wear and also the brake drums are OK and not scored Steering - check steering linkages etc. for wear Tyres - check tyres for tread wear and wheel alignment. Some things to be going on with ;-)
