I installed 16GB of RAM ( 2 x 8GB). They are 1600 MHZ and works fine on my macbook pro late 2011 edition. Apple says 8GB is the max, but in fact the system can work with 16 GB as well.
Your computer takes the PC3-10600. I’ve never tried to put the PC3-12800 chips into a 2011 so I don’t know if the 12800s are backwards compatible. I think they are but I don’t know for sure. The ones in the links you posted are for 2012 models.
