Hey all, so recently the charger for my Razer Blade 14 broke… The only replacement ones that match this computer’s old one are around $100, and I don’t want to spend that kind of money on a cord. I am finding lots of 150w chargers like the ones used on the older models. So my question is would I be able to use the 150w charger with my laptop that had a 165w? The difference is only 1amp, so I don’t think it’ll make a huge difference. Thanks!
No. It won’t work. The laptop shipped with a 165W power supply for a reason. While you can’t use a 150W on a 165W minimum laptop, you can use a compatible higher wattage adapter like the 200W if you get a good price on it, since it will only draw what it needs.
