so i purchased a motorcycle and little did i know the person prior had never put oil into the motorcycle and as I was riding home it died two times. I got off the motorcycle and examined and came to the conclusion the motorcycle was bone dry on oil. It had been ran 500 miles and the bike requires more oil every 300 so im assuming it was 200 miles overdue. I went and got the proper oil for the bike and put it in. I tried to start the bike twice and when it didnt start up instantly like it had done previously i had it put in the back of a truck and took it home, I have not tried it since and it did start prior to the oil when i gave it some throttle but im afraid to try again and cause more damage….. What should i do from here.
@madcowdisease remove the spark plug and try to turn it over. If it does so you may be lucky and possibly only have minor damage like bad bearings etc. If it does not then there is a chance that the engine has seized because of the lack of lubrication. To help you further we would need to know the make and model of your motorcycle
