I have purchased a samsung 75 inch Q80T from the USA officially rated at 110v. I have already plugged it in my home country’s 220v and it worked. I have only used it for about 15 minutes without any problem. My question is: does this mean it has a dual voltage power board inside it? Might it blow up later on? Or the fact that it ran smoothly for 15 minutes is a proof that it can handle 220v? Should i still take its back panel off to verify the voltage rating of its power supply board?

Hi @tjimayl , You’re lucky that it worked without first checking that it could operate at the higher voltage. It would have turned off straight away if it was designed to operate at 110V only and the power board would have been damaged. If it worked for 15 minutes OK it means that the power board can also operate at 220V.
