OK, so I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro. The 3rd cable on the WiFi cable was damaged by a surge, and the HDMI display works fine, but the built-in display doesn’t work. And I have an 11” MacBook Air that doesn’t boot but the display may be good. Would it be possible to swap the display of the MacBook Air and connect via the LVDI cable and get a display to work? Yes it might not fit. But would I risk damaging the Pro’s logicboard anymore or the display? Or do I need to get a like for like display to get the 2015 MacBook Pro display working again?
