06 Chevy Trailblazer The rear wiper is not working; I tested the electric @ the connector plug (has 3 wires) and using the center of the 3 as ground and (and with the “key AND wiper switch” both on and off), I received 12.*+- volts from “both” left & right wires! I installed a used motor with no results THEN I installed an O’reilly refurbished and still no function! I also noticed the tailgate has “other” problems- (A) the release handle feels like it’s only 1/2 working (it needs to pulled up on the LEFT side) and I need to manually push it back in before it latches. (B) the lock mechanism don’t latch even though I can hear it click
Joseph Barby, Check the circuit breaker, labeled (RR Wiper) or just swap/switch it out and try wiper. Then look for pinched/broken wires in the tailgate wire harness(if found repair and try). If no go the Liftgate Control Module (LGM) may be faulty(common fault) it also controls lock, defrost,etc. LGM may need to be reprogrammed for proper operation by the dealer or well equipped shop with proper equipment/software.
