Chosen Solution
So only last week I developed a knack to fix stuff. I ordered the 64 piece ifixitkit which is extremely good quality, high recommended for those who are choosing between it and cheap Chinese sets like I was. My lil cousins have been yanking at their xbox one S wires and the HDMI port has stopped working. So I understand the whole job but I have never soldered in my life. I get the basic premise of it but still find it daunting to do. Could someone tell me how to begin to practice learning it? Do people just get 1-2 wafers, some components and start practicing on there?
Estela Villafuerte yes that is exactly what you want to do. You will need to “learn” how to solder and desolder components off circuit boards. It is not extremely difficult but needs to be practised. Check some online videos like this as well as guides like this one and see what you think. Ultimately, no matter how many videos etc. you watch, you need to practice. Get a few boards and start soldering to develop your own technique.
