So I tried to replace the digitizer but I noticed that the pins of the socket is missing on one side does that mean the iPad is rip?
That connector is notoriously weak and will have pins lift right out of the connector when replacing a digitizer. This is a well known problem and easily repairable but does require micro-soldering and is not a DIY repair.
