My iPad Air still works after I dried it out of soaking it in water on the bottom of it. I dried it out for 3 weeks before I powered it up again. The screen had brown stuff all over it inside the screen like light rust color I kept on drying it and it all disappeared. Now I powered it up and I get crisscrossed lines and different colors on the screen … closed the magnetic case opened and it had the home screen there for 10 seconds then crisscrossed again it did this for a long time but now it won’t go to the home screen at all but for a second just the lines not picture but all else works even Siri how to fixit or what’s wrong. Thank you

its probably liquid damage around the lcd connector, the lcd may need changed if badly damaged and the connector either cleaned with alcohol or replaced

@packratee you did not tell us how you dried it out and if you did anything about the water damage. Right now you could be looking at corrosion or short circuits on your logic board as well as the connectors. Even if water evaporates it will leave solids behind. Those solids can cause corrosion as well as short circuits. Proper decontamination in vital for this. I suggest that you disassemble your iPad by using either the LTE guides or the WiFi guides (depending on which model you have) from here iPad Air 1 Repair Once disassembled inspect the board for corrosion as well as other damage like missing or burned looking components. Check your connectors as well as your cables for corrosion. Then clean everything with some 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Use this as your guide on how to clean Repairing iPhone Liquid Damage and even so it was written for an iPhone all the points are still pertinent to your iPad as well. Of course if you have access to an ultrasonic cleaning, use that instead Only after you have inspected this and cleaned it can you do a proper troubleshooting.
