Hi guys, accidently snapped the blue wire leading to the speaker when changing display assembly. It appears to have snapped off right at the logic board. I have medium skills with a soldering iron. Realisticly, what are my chances of getting this thing back together and is there a way of removing the bottom part of the logic board to get at the right spot (the wire connects to the underside of the logic board) Thanks in advanced for any help or suggestions.
I had this same issue myself. If you look at the teardown, they are attached on the underside of the board. The red wire is soldered to the terminal closest to the speaker and the blue one is soldered to the terminal furthest from the speaker. CJ
I have blue wire blues and now I can fix it, I hope. Am new to this, so any idea where to get fine wire and possibly shrink insulation that small? I need to make an extension for the repair. I will use electrical tape if need be. This was supposed to be just a glass replacement for my nephew’s touch. I think with all the mistakes I’ve made and parts I’ve had to replace and tools I’ve had to get, I blub blub blub…. :0) If it wasn’t for this site, I would never have attempted it. Thanks everyone who contributes.
Hi I have a similar problem, except for me the red wire has broken off. Can you tell me if the red wire attached to the top of the motherboard or the underside? If its the top, which of the two terminals does it go to? thanks David
O.K. I might be able to help you, So what did you do to break it??? Did you try a speaker cord or headphones??? Is the blue cord disconnected??? I sit possible you may have dropped it. That might happen. I would try The Fix Phone Repair stores or Best Buy or other places.
