Chosen Solution

Hi, Just changed my 7 plus screen. Everything went well apart from the fact when swapping over the parts from the old screen, I lost the small white plastic square which goes under the light sensor. Any idea if this is essential and can it be replaced without buying a new genuine screen???? Thanks. The part is highlighted in the attached image.

Hi, I have replaced the camera flex without the filter and it has worked but it’s something to do with the phone being black because they don’t use this with white screens. However, I have found this that someone else said: it helps to control the intensity of light prediction on the sensor. you can check the filter & without the filter and you will be able to identify the different results that screen brightness will not control properly when you check without the filter. but it is a compulsory component to have to save your battery life. So I guess that it’s needed, I couldn’t find one anywhere so you might have to buy a screen. Have a look around. Hope that helped
