Hello, i have a new problem with my tinker imac. I get a “new” Logic Board, now the imac start’s and the most of the imac is fine. On screen i have small doted lines. See picture.
I have connected a monitor to the imac, on the external Monitor there a no lines. I think is not the graphic card, maybe it is the LCD from imac. If there any test to check if the panel broken? Thanks and best regards
You have the right idea the internal display is the source of the lines. But the LCD panel within the dislapy assembly is not the source! On the backside of the assembly is a circuit board we call a T-CON either it has a problem or the cable leading from it to the main logic board (LVDS cable) has an issue. This is most likely a noise issue where one of the noise compression caps has started to fail on the T-CON. I often see these lines slowly crawl across the screen (V-sync issue).
