1989 bronco with 5.8 engine. Revs good in park or neutral but very sluggish in gear I’ve replaced ecm, plugs and wires, distributor, cap and button, idle air control, mass air flow
Ford, through the late 80s and early 90s have distributor issues, if you have replaced plugs and wires, the optical sensor in distributor is probably dirty, you can check by taking off dist. cap and cleaning the sensor. Use something like a can of mass air flow sensor cleaner and spray where the metallic wheel and sensor meet.
