My s7 edge doesnt fast charge and wont connect to any pc saying it cannot be recognized. Should I replace the charging port? Or is there any fix where i wont spend any money?
First of all check the charging port for any debris / gunk buildup inside, if there is clean with fine tweezers carefully as this stops charging cables from plugging in fully. Try other charging cables if you haven’t already as well. Does sound like a worn out charging port from those symptoms. The charging daughter board ribbon cable flex assembly has two touch sensitive buttons coming from it which wrap around to go under the screen meaning that if you were to replace the charging port you would have to remove the screen before doing so which is pretty much very hard to do so without destroying the display. The ideal way for a charging port replacement is to replace the charging socket itself. To do this it requires soldering + hot air rework station experience to do so, I recommend taking it to a reputable repair shop that does board repairs / microsoldering if you do end up choosing this route.
