I replaced the battery on the iphone8 but accidently did slight damage to the wireless charging coil. Put the new battery in and all sees fine. (with the damaged coil) But I dont have a wireless charger.. not sure I will get one. Question is could that slight tear , just to the right of the middle cause any issues? thank you.
hello cb brooks, no, tearing the black layer will do nothing. Modern electronics must meet many restrictions, including the appearance and a large margin of safety. The black layer is just a cosmetic element. Beneath it is a silver screen for magnetic protection and even lower for electric protection. Don’t worry if the coil has not been physically cut - it will last for years.
