Hi there I have a pressure washer that’s leaking water out of a gold spring thingy I’m not sure what it is or how to fix it any help would be appreciated Update (10/08/2015)
Gold spring thingy
Hi Mike - That gold springy thing is the adjustment spring for the unloader valve. It makes it so water flows even when the trigger isn’t in use. This keeps the pump from running dry. Inside the spring is the adjusting bolt. You should be able to tighten and loosen the bolt to adjust the unloader pressure. I would assume these things were done in the factory before shipping to you but possibly you may need to loosen off the nut to stop the leak. Another possibility is an o-ring/nut has cracked where the water is leaking through. All in all this is definitely something that would be covered under warranty.
