I recently was traveling in Canada and have returned to Australia. I bought this phone in Telus store for full price. I inserted by Rogers Prepaid sim card and everything was fine. Now I have inserted my Australian sim card, it was asking for a sim pin number. But there is no sim pin number on my australian sim card. I tried usual combinations i.e. 1234, 0000 and tried my pin number. Now the message is: “SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK” It seems it has been locked to Rogers network because I put the rogers prepaid sim back in and this message doesn’t appear. Where would I get this puk code from? Not sure if it is Telus or Rogers. Appreciate any advice.
You will have to get a new SIM card; if it is PUK locked the only options are to get a new SIM card or look on the card type plastic the sim came in and it will say it on that.
Thanks for the response. I have tried several sim cards and the only sim card not showing this message is the Rogers Prepaid Sim. Also I have had my carrier to provide a PUK code for my home sim card and this doesn’t work.
Was able to fix it with traveler sim card, just plug traveler international SIM, where rouming is available for the country phone locked to, and make 6-7 min phone call. It should activate and unblock samsung phone. WAS ABLE TO DO IT WITH SAMSUNG A7 2017.
